Parting ways with a stellar year

Have you ever enjoyed a scrumptious meal so much that you let each forkful dance on your tongue, thought great and import thoughts as the flavours swirled in your mouth, tried to stretch out the moments as long as they could possibly last, and honestly felt a little sad when the very last bite stared up at you from your plate? I have, and that is exactly the same way I feel about saying good-bye to 2012 today.

Though it wasn't a perfect year (I highly doubt such a thing exists), over all it was amazing. There's no sugar coating needed here, it simply abounded with positivity, change, blessing, and seemingly ordinary moments that were just about as marvelous as one could possibly ever hope for. Last week over at my blog Chronically Vintage, I highlighted 12 things I did in 2012 to make my life better, and also decided that I was going to set Adjectives, not resolutions for 2013.

This morning I sent a deeply heartfelt thank you out to all of my readers for the role they played in helping to make this past year so immensely fantastic, and it with the utmost of appreciation that I extend the very same thank you to everyone here as well.

Even though I don't blog here as often as I do at Chronically Vintage, that doesn't mean that I cherish my scrapbook blog readers any less or that you didn't have a hand in ensuring that 2013 rocked from start to finish for me, because you certainly did.

While I have various plans, ideas, and dreams in the works for the coming year, like all of us, I do not truly know what it will hold in store yet, but I strongly suspect that it will carry on where 2012 leaves off tonight, and be a year that I can look back on with great fondness and joy.

Before we cap off 20-12 though, I want to share the remainder of this year's handmade Christmas cards with all of you. As predicted a couple posts back, this group is a bit of mixed bag of colours, themes, styles, embellishments, etc, but they share in common the spirit of the season and the fact that I had a massive blast creating all of them.

Wishing you a merry Christmas card, large Victorian stamp (created for momsie and Rick, 2012)

Joyful memories acrylic snowflake Christmas card (for Grannie, 2012)

Victorian inspired white poinsettia layered Merry Christmas card (for Kathleen L, 2012)

Vintage shabby chic layered postcard Christmas card (2012)

With all my heart, I wish you each an incredible New Year's Eve celebration today, as well as a year ahead that abounds with joy and peace, positive health, success, inspiration, fun, smiles, laughter, friendship, family, and more beautiful moments than you could ever scrapbook in a thousand lifetimes!!!

  6. Hi my dear ladies, thank you all very much for your comments. Our internet was just down due to an unexpected outage for nearly six days, so I really haven't been online much in the last week. Thankfully it came back yesterday morning and once I work my way through a massive backlog of emails, social media feeds, etc, I hope to have a new post up here before the week is over.

    ♥ Jessica
